The CLCF Basketball Code of Conduct is for Parents, Family Members, Players, Coaches and Spectators when participation in Recreation or Travel!!

All agree to the following when at a CLCF Basketball Game, Practice or any event that is representing CLCF Basketball in anyway.

• Parents are responsible for their own Guest or Family Members.

• Spectators will treat ALL spectators, players, coaches and referees fairly and with respect.

• Parents will make certain that their children show respect for all other spectators, players, coaches ad officials.

• Parents and Spectators will be positive role models.

• Parents and Spectators will display and instill in all players the principals of good sportsmanship and team play.

• Parents and Spectators shall not coach or officiate from the stands.

• Parents and Spectators will not ridicule of demean players coaches or referees.

• Parents and Spectators will not question a referee’s call.

• Parents and Spectators will respect the opponent and avoid any confrontation with opposing players spectators or coaches.

• Parents and Spectators will be drug and alcohol free while at any CLCF athletic event including practices.

• All Spectators and Players will comply with the decisions of league officials and observe all rules\policies\procedures established or endorsed by CLCF Basketball

• Players shall display good sportsmanship and team play at all times.
  Respect all coaches players league officials referees and spectators.

• Players shall make every attempt to be on time and ready to play for all games and practices.

• Players shall notify coaches in advance of event in which conflicts occur.

• Players realize that they are to make a commitment to team play and have a responsibility to the team to be prepared at all events.

• Players shall follow team policy as explained by the coach.
  Note:  Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct may influence playing time

• Players shall treat all facilities home and away with respect. Clean up after themselves.

• All shall represent CLCF and the town of Cranston with pride dignity and good sportsmanship.

• All shall not use abusive or profane language.

• All shall not Taunt or humiliate any other player opponent or teammate.

• All shall not Question a call or decision made by a referee official or coach.

• All  shall not Abuse, mistreat or mishandle any CLCF league equipment or property.

• Abide by the rules established by Metro West, RIYBA, and CLCF

• Abide by zero tolerance of inappropriate or disrespectful behavior towards players, coaches, opposing parents and officials.

• Promote team unity and support decisions made by the coaching staff, including playing time.

• Be respectful on Social Media platforms. Any negative posts and/or comments directed at a coach, player,  parent or other RIYBA\Metrowest Organization will not be tolerated and could result in a suspension or termination from CLCF Basketball Program.

• Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct Policy and guidelines set forth by Metro West, RIYBA, and CLCF will result in suspension/termination of parents from attending future games and team suspension/termination.
   

Consequences for all violations of the code of conduct shall be addressed on an individual basis.

CLCF feels strongly about upholding the principles of the Code of Conduct and will strictly enforce the rules.

Violators shall be dealt with swiftly and appropriately.

• First Offence :  Verbal Warning

• Second Offence:   Parent, Spectator or Guest will be asked to leave the Gym.  
                                 Player will be suspended for one game.   
                                              NOTE:  Player must sit on the bench for the game they are suspended.

• Third Offence:   Parent, Spectator, Guest or Player will be Banned from Gym

CLCF holds the right to assess a stronger consequence if warranted.

Parents agree to this when registering your children!

All Spectators agree to this when entering a CLCF Basketball event!
